Amherst Walking Tour
September 17 @ 10:00 am
Join us for a fun scavenger hunt of downtown Amherst. We will start at the Jones Library and then we’ll walk over to the Visitor Information Center to pick up a map of downtown Amherst. Then we’ll walk along Main Street in small groups to see a few famous sites in Amherst: the town hall, the place where Noah Webster lived, statues of Emily Dickinson and Robert Frost, the Emily Dickinson museum and others. We’ll also try to find the RWW commemorative brick in Sweetser Park.
We’ll finish off the tour with a cup of tea on the porch at one of the volunteer’s houses on Amity Street and a raffle of the book: “Amherst A-Z”. Please RSVP. Wear comfortable shoes!
Meet at the Jones Library.
